As part of our ongoing commitment to researching the issues associated with employee turnover, we have been working closely with a number of UK based organisations to develop a highly focused and informative exit tool that can be used on an "enterprise wide" basis.

The development brief from the HR Teams, who provided the much valued operational and user specification, was to develop an exit tool that:

  • Could be used at all levels within an organisation.

  • Was quick to complete.

  • Could be used as part of the current exit interview or capable of standing alone.

  • Did not create significant amounts of additional work for the HR Team.

  • Reduced time spent collating, coding and reporting on exit data collected.

  • Would provide a comprehensive understanding of the reasons that cause individuals to resign.

  • Supported the proactive monitoring of issues associated with equal opportunities, stress, harassment and bullying in the workplace.

  • Provide reporting that was easy to feedback on and translate into effective retention interventions.
