The exit interview is a part of every day life in most HR teams, with over 80% of organisations conducting some kind of exit process with resigning employees. The primary focus of these interviews is to gain a better understanding of why the individual has chosen to resign, and over time put interventions in place that reduce attrition across the organisation.
LastOpinion is a questionnaire based Exit Interview tool that collects and reports on the key drivers behind the resignation decision. As well as providing a wealth of information on the factors driving the resignation decision, the individual leaver profile provides a normative comparison. This norm data is invaluable in helping you to understand typical reasons for leaving (internal or external) and how each individual case varies from this group profile.
TalentDrain work closely with you to design a process that helps:
- reduce the overall amount of time taken dealing with resigning employees
- focus effort on cases where expertise is genuinely needed
- improve the quality of data collected
- enable candidates to self-nominate for a face to face meeting if they require
- collect important leaver feedback when an exit interview is not possible.
The output (Leaver Profile) provides HR with an instantly accessible view of the issues driving resignation. This valuable, real time, insight is often used to proactively deal with the issues that may historically have been resolved at tribunal.
Whilst collection of exit data at an individual level is common place, the collation of this information to provide a more strategic overview happens less often, generally due to lack of time and resources. Users of LastOpinion are able to request group reports whenever they wish. All leaver responses are stored in the LastOpinion database, enabling the generation of group leaver statistics broken down by department, region and so on. Additional information can also be included, such as performance data so you can accurately pinpoint the reasons why your best performers are leaving.
